Michelle & David 1 year anniversary
A day like today, one year ago my mind was going 1000 mph… Why you wonder? I was starting to edit Michelle and David’s wedding teaser.
I will never forget my conversation with Michelle and David before they hired us. They were mainly interested with hiring House of Films to capture their wedding day and hand over the RAW footage… In speaking with them, I asked why? Michelle explained to me that her background was in film and David’s background was in editing. Right then and there, I knew I had to convince them otherwise because I wanted the challenge to create something special for two people that shared the same passion as myself. I explained to them that editing a wedding is not as easy as many believe. I continued to explain to them to trust my work, that they would not regret it. At the same time, I had another couple ready to hire us for the same date willing to pay extra for our services. As you can see, I turned them down because my connection with Michelle and David was unique. I was not sure what it was, but my gut was telling me to film their wedding…
Their wedding day came around and we were ready… I recall at one point Michelle, as she did her makeup, was very tense. I looked at her and told her “take a deep breath and let it all out”. She listened and as she let it all out, tears of joy just came running down her face (sorry Karla for ruining the makeup). The day turned out beautifully and by the time we reached the reception and the best man began his speech, I knew that was the icing on the cake… Well why continue writing, when you can see their overall day in their teaser.
