At each wedding, I always find out something about the couple that I did not know. This time around a good friend of Jimmy’s got the mic and shared how Monica and Jimmy met. From his story, Jimmy was head over heels from the moment he saw Monica for the first time, around 5 years ago. Since that day they have been inseparable.

I met Monica and Jimmy at a destination wedding in Atlantis through a good friend of theirs and now good friend of ours. From that day, Monica told me “the day I get married, you will film our wedding”. I recall seeing Monica and Jimmy at the PGKIDS event back in December 2013. Jimmy came to me and informed me they were getting married on 12/13/14 and he wanted us to film it. I regrettably informed him that we were already booked. They were not happy campers to say the least and neither were we as we knew it was going to be a GREAT wedding. Time passed and Monica reached out again and told me her date had changed and they were getting married on 1/24/15. Fortunately we were available. She pretty much booked us then and there…

So wedding day arrived and they couldn’t have asked for better weather. It was a bit overcast in the morning as a cold front was coming through Miami, but no big issue. As I arrived to their home, Monica turns to me and tells me “what are you doing here?” I recall responding “I believe it is your wedding day, but if you want I will go home.” Right after the door opens and Jimmy walks into the house as he was still running errands. He was pretty much running around all day, to the point that he almost forgot to take his dress shoes to the location where he was going to get ready. From that moment on I knew it was going to be a great wedding. I say this because it was a “go with the flow kind of day”, bad at times, but this time around the energy was great and we were on board.

To our surprise, everything went as planned and ceremony started on time. After ceremony we headed to The Cooper’s estate where along side Santy Martinez Photography, we captured great artistic shots. This is the best part when we know we will be working with a team of professionals that allows us to express our creative minds working alongside us and divide the time. You have no idea how many times we work with photographers that think that the artistic time allocated is all for them, where in reality it is to be divided. Actually working alongside Santy Martinez Photography, our workday is much easier and less stressful. In the end we work together and help each other out.

I must say I witnessed one of the most touching first dances. Monica and Jimmy decided to have a family first dance with their two beautiful children which I know it was very heart felt around the reception room. After dinner, the dance floor was in the hands of Rey Hernandez from SCJ Events and Entertainment. Rey had his hands full as I knew that not only did this crowd like to party, but being that Jimmy is a singer, I had a feeling Jimmy was going to be on the mic or jamming on the dance floor. All I have to say is that Rey was up to the challenge and delivered. Dance floor was none stop… OK enough writing… Let’s get to their wedding trailer.

We all ENJOYED the Churrascaria style dinner. To date the best dinner we have had.
