Vicky and Travis were referred over to us by her uncle which is a good family friend. At first she was not sure if she wanted a wedding video and finally decided to hire us about 11 days before her wedding… For us we had never filmed at the Curtis Mansion where the reception took place and were looking forward to a new site for artistic shots. At the same time we had never filmed alongside Miguel Ocque Photography and in speaking with him before the wedding, it sounded like the perfect team.

Wedding day arrived and a bit overcast, but no biggie. Getting ready took place at the beautiful Biltmore Hotel. Vicky was in great hands as she was being beautified by the one and only, Marz Makeup & Hair. Across town, Travis was getting ready at their home alongside his groomsmen. It was a bit of a hectic timeline as we planned on doing a first look at the Biltmore, but Sara from RVL Events kept us on schedule. Ceremony took place at the historic Coral Gables Congregational Church which is right in front of the Biltmore.

When we arrived at the Curtis Mansion, we were in Artistic shots heaven. Curtis Mansion is right next to a golf course with beautiful landscaping. I recall asking Vicky if she was interested in walking out to the golf course to take some artistic shots and to my surprise she said yes. Surprised because the grass was wet from the recent downpour, but Travis and her did not care. “Whatever it takes to get the shots”. Back inside at the Curtis Mansion, DJ Twilight was prepping the family and friends of what was to come, one crazy dance floor.
