House of Films met the Koppel Family about 2 years ago when we filmed Meaghan and Jonathan’s wedding. From the start we automatically saw what a close and tight family they are. I will never forget asking Andrew, their father, what advise can he give me as a first time father (my princess was just weeks old at the time). He looked at me and told me, be everything to her. Be her father, her best friend, her coach, support her in everything and never turn your back on her. Lift her when she is down, hug her and love her all the time. After becoming friends with the family, I could see his words was the father figure that he was to his daughters.

When I was called about a year ago to film Erin’s wedding, it was an honor especially that we were the only vendor to be called back. From the start Meaghan became her wedding planner and helped coordinate everything. As I sat down to write up this blog, I realized I did not know much about Erin and Ryan as we never had our pre-wedding meeting, so I had to contact Meaghan to provide me some sentences about how they compliment each other. Here is what Meaghan told me and I quote:

“They laugh and smile about everything. They barely ever get mad. They both procrastinate and are late to everything. They love food! And they are both very generous and go out their way for everyone! Ryan would drive to wherever to get Erin anything she needs and then he comes back with the thing she needs and twenty others that might work too! They live their lives day by day. Love their family and will do anything for them.”

Looking back at their overall day and listening to the speeches by their families, I will agree with what Meaghan said above. Hey how many grooms text their vendors at 4:30am the day of the wedding that he was checking out of the Biltmore and heading over to the Trump Hotel as he was unhappy with his room.

With that said… Erin and Ryan’s wedding day started at the Trump Hotel in Doral, Fl. Beautifying the bridal party was the “The Guru of Makeup” herself, Gloria Pelo. This time around we were working alongside a true powerhouse of venders. We were looking forward to working for the first time with Adam Opris Photography as Meaghan had spoken highly of him. In all honesty, it felt as we had worked together before and worked side by side feeding from each others creative juices. Ceremony was taking place at The Church of the Little Flower in Coral Gables and since we had received alerts about crazy Miami Traffic, Adam and myself decided to go in the same car finding the best route. Fortunately we made it on time. After the Ceremony we headed back to the Trump Hotel, but first had a quick stop by a round about Fountain in Coral Gables to capture some artistic shots. Once we arrived at the Trump Hotel, even though it was extremely hot and sunny, Erin and Ryan was down with our crazy ideas to capture cool artistic shots.

Back inside, at the reception ballroom, Jose Graterol Designs was putting the final touches. If you have never seen his work, it is a must. He creativeness is unique to each couple. He is the kind of designer that you tell him what you have in mind and will deliver your dream unlike anything you have seen before. At the same time on stage was Rock with you Entertainment, with Slim Roc behind the Mic. And all this could not have happened on time without the ladies from Luxurious Events.
