Alicia & Bobby
I met Alicia and Bobby earlier this year. When we met, Bobby shared with me their crazy roller coaster of a marriage proposal. If I recall correctly he had it planned for weeks to propose on a Gondala or Yacht down here in Miami. He had spoken to the owner, planned everything out with them to be sure they were on time at the dock. The day arrived and he requested for Alicia to dress up as he had planned a formal dinner. The dock area was not the best of location, but he still headed and waited to be picked up… Minutes passed and no one would show up. He finally called the owner of the service and they had messed up and had forgotten their arrangement. Bobby was not a happy camper, but he had no other choice then to get down on one knee right then and their and propose to Alicia. Why am I sharing this with you? Well because Bobby is the kind of man that is very detailed oriented and head over heels for Alicia. During the ceremony you can feel the love in the air from both, but Bobby’s face was over glowing. If I recall, I told Alicia this several times that day.
The day started on 5/2/15 where Alicia and Bobby were getting ready at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. A few days leading up to their date the weather in south Florida was just raining. Fortunately for them, they could not have asked for a more beautiful day. We planned on a first look and with such beautiful weather we planned for it outside. After the first look we headed over to the Douglas Entrance for the ceremony and reception. We had not filmed a ceremony before at the Douglas entrance and it must have been one of the most beautiful and intimate weddings we have filmed.
The rest of the night was full of surprises. I recall Alicia telling me that her dad and father in law were going to do a toast together and she did not know what her dad had planned as he is a character. She was right. It was a great father toast with many laughs and tears. The night continued and the guests partied throughout the night between the Hora Loca, dancing to “I’m Shipping Up To Boston by Dropkick Murphys” and her dad and now husband running out in costumes. This time around we had the chance to work with Ricky Iglesias from Simply Captivating Photography and sounds/lighting by DJ Ubi Marrero.
In the end everyone was here to celebrate this moment with them and they sure did. Alicia and Bobby congratulations for the love that you share between the two of you. May it continue to grow for a lifetime.
